Manipur: Moirang Community Rallies to Install Tricolor at INA Martyrs’ Memorial Complex Ahead of Independence Day

Northeast Desk, 14th August: In a powerful display of unity and patriotism, the people of Moirang in Manipur have initiated the installation of the Tricolor at the Indian National Army (INA) Martyrs’ Memorial Complex, ahead of India’s Independence Day. The move is seen as a tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs and a celebration of the collective strength of the community.

Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh shared details of this initiative on the microblogging platform X, commending the efforts of the Moirang community. “As we approach the momentous occasion of Independence Day, the people of Moirang have started the installation of the Tricolor at the INA Complex in Moirang,” he wrote, highlighting the significance of this act.

The installation of the national flag at this historic site serves as a homage to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation’s freedom. It also symbolizes the unity and resilience of the local community in the face of challenges.

The Chief Minister also expressed his gratitude towards the residents of Moirang for their enthusiastic participation in the nationwide “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign, which encourages citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes. “By hoisting the Tricolor at this significant site, we not only honor their sacrifices but also celebrate the collective strength and unity of our community. I appreciate the people of Moirang for their support in the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign,” he stated.

The initiative in Moirang is part of broader preparations across the country as India gears up to celebrate its 77th Independence Day, a time for reflection on the nation’s journey and the enduring spirit of its people.
