Northeast Desk, 21st July: Manipur Police successfully apprehended a cadre of the proscribed outfit KCP (TAIBANGNGANBA) from Tejpur Makha Leikai in Kakching District. The arrested individual, Ningthoujam Ashakumar Meetei, also known as Abung, aged 33, was involved in extortion activities targeting residents in Thoubal and Kakching districts.
During the arrest, police recovered two mobile phones, Rs. 22,000 in cash, and four ATM cards from Ningthoujam’s possession. This operation represents a significant advancement in the ongoing efforts to curb militant activities and enhance the safety and security of the local community.
