Manipur Police Marks 133rd Raising Day with Grand Parade and Statewide Celebrations

Imphal: The Manipur Police celebrated its 133rd Raising Day with a grand parade at the 1st MR Ground, with Shri Thongam Bishwajit Singh, Hon’ble Minister of Manipur, serving as the Chief Guest. The celebration saw the participation of 12 contingents from various branches of the Manipur Police, as well as a captivating skills display by the police’s sports personnel.

During the event, prestigious DGP trophies were awarded for the Best Battalion, Best Police Station, and Best Police Officers, recognizing exemplary service and dedication within the force.

In addition to the parade, the event emphasized community service, with a blood donation camp held at the 1st MR Banquet Hall, where 28 police personnel volunteered to donate blood.

Across the state, various districts organized activities to mark the occasion. In Bishnupur and Churachandpur, a “Run for Peace” marathon drew over 350 participants, including police officers, personnel from Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and civil society members. Imphal East and Jiribam hosted sports tournaments, while “bada khanas” (community feasts) were held at district and battalion headquarters, fostering camaraderie and unity among the police personnel and the community.

The celebrations highlighted the enduring commitment of the Manipur Police to maintaining peace, security, and community service throughout the state.
