Manipur Police Nab Two in Heinous POCSO Case
Imphal East – Manipur Police have swiftly apprehended two young men in connection with a deeply disturbing sexual assault case involving a minor, which has sent ripples of concern through the Tellou Mayai Leikai community.
The incident, reported under the jurisdiction of Lamlai Police Station, Imphal East district, is being rigorously investigated under the stringent Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Kshtrimayum Ajoy, 20, a resident of Tellou Mayai Leikai, and Mangsatabam Ajay, 21, from Nongada Kameng Khunjao. Both suspects hail from the Imphal East district and were taken into custody on July 20. Police authorities have confirmed that the arrests were made promptly following the official filing of the complaint.
