Manipur Police Seize 2.88kg of Suspected Brown Sugar in Kangpokpi

Imphal: Manipur police intercepted a Hyundai Creta near Daili village along National Highway-2 in Kangpokpi district and seized 2.88 kilograms of suspected brown sugar.

During a routine check, authorities discovered 75 soap cases containing the suspected narcotic substance concealed within the vehicle.

The driver, M Ngaiyu Vekhe, and passenger, A Dahnii Abraham, both residents of Thingba Khullen in Senapati district, were taken into custody. The vehicle and the suspected contraband were handed over to the police for further investigation.

Authorities have initiated a probe to determine the source and possible network behind the smuggling attempt. The police are working to uncover more details about the seizure and the individuals involved.
