Manipur Prepares for Shirui Lily Festival 2025 with High-Level Planning Meet at Raj Bhavan

Imphal — Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla chaired the 2nd Organising Committee Meeting for the Shirui Lily Festival 2025 today at Raj Bhavan, Imphal, focusing on comprehensive planning to ensure the smooth execution of the state’s premier cultural event.

The meeting saw detailed discussions on key areas including budget allocation, event scheduling, transport and crowd management, security arrangements, infrastructure upgrades, and visitor accommodations. Stakeholders also reviewed strategies for cultural programming, interdepartmental coordination, and promotional outreach to boost tourism.

Top state officials—including the Chief Secretary, DGP, senior bureaucrats, and district heads from Ukhrul and Kamjong—attended the session alongside festival organisers and representatives.

Celebrating the rare Shirui Lily native to Ukhrul district, the festival has grown into a major attraction, drawing national and international visitors. The 2025 edition promises expanded events and upgraded facilities, aiming to spotlight Manipur’s rich heritage and biodiversity.
