Northeast Desk, 16th July: Security forces conducted a successful operation in Changangei Ucheckon, Imphal West District, resulting in the arrest of Takhellambam Inao Singh, a 39-year-old active cadre of the RPF/PLA organization. Singh, also known as Joysing and Ningthiba, was apprehended for his involvement in extortion activities in and around the Imphal area.
During the operation, security personnel recovered significant items from Singh, including a 9 mm pistol with a magazine loaded with seven rounds, two mobile handsets with four SIM cards, and a black wallet containing Rs. 1,700 along with an Aadhaar Card.
The arrest of Singh marks a notable success for the security forces in their ongoing efforts to combat insurgent activities in Manipur. He has been handed over to the relevant authorities for further legal proceedings.
