Manipur Schools to Resume Normal Classes from September 17
Northeast Desk, 16th September: Schools across Manipur will resume normal classes starting September 17, 2024, following a review of the current situation by the state government.
The decision was announced as a continuation of the office order issued on September 12. This directive applies to all educational institutions in the state, including Government, Government-Aided, Private, and Central Schools.
Zonal Education Officers under the Department of Education-Schools, Manipur, have been instructed to notify all relevant parties and implement the necessary arrangements to facilitate the resumption of classes.
This move comes after the Directorate of Education (Schools), Manipur, had earlier ordered the closure of all educational institutions on September 7 due to ongoing unrest and concerns over the safety of students and staff. The closure was a precautionary measure to ensure the well-being of the educational community.
The state government has now approved the resumption of normal school operations, signaling a return to routine for students and educators across the region.
