Imphal: Security forces in Manipur on February 11th arrested an individual, Hafijuddin (39), in the Thoubal district. The arrest followed an intelligence-led operation where security personnel seized a substantial quantity of contraband items from his possession. These items included 27 bottles of cough syrup, three strips containing 24 capsules each, two strips containing 16 capsules, and 150 loose capsules.
Concurrently, security forces intensified their efforts with search operations and area domination exercises in both hill and valley districts. The movement of 218 vehicles carrying essential items along NH-2 and 213 along NH-37 was facilitated, with strict security measures implemented at all vulnerable locations. Security convoys were deployed to ensure the safe and uninterrupted movement of these vehicles.
A total of 112 Nakas/Checkpoints were established across various districts in Manipur, with no detentions reported.
