Manipur Security Forces Intensify Search Operations and Area Domination to Maintain Law and Order
Northeast, August 18, 2024 — In a bid to reinforce law and order, security forces in Manipur have intensified search operations and area domination activities, particularly targeting the fringe and vulnerable regions of both hill and valley districts. This increased vigilance is part of a broader initiative to stabilize the state and ensure the safety of its residents.
As a crucial component of these efforts, authorities successfully escorted 120 and 83 vehicles carrying essential supplies along National Highways 37 and 2, respectively. To guarantee the secure transport of goods, stringent security measures have been enforced, with security convoys accompanying vehicles through sensitive areas.
Furthermore, security forces have established 105 Nakas and checkpoints across various districts in both the hill and valley regions. These checkpoints have led to the detention of 219 individuals for violating regulations, highlighting the comprehensive nature of the ongoing operations.
The intensified security measures underscore the state’s commitment to maintaining order and safeguarding the well-being of its citizens amidst ongoing challenges.
