Imphal: Security forces conducted extensive search operations and area domination exercises in vulnerable areas of the hill and valley districts to strengthen security and prevent potential threats.
During the operation, a significant cache of arms, ammunition, and protective gear was recovered from Chingkhei Ching (Western side) under Porompat Police Station in Imphal East District.
The seized items included a range of weapons and explosives, such as a 9mm pistol, an automatic single-barrel gun, hand grenades, and detonators. A substantial quantity of ammunition was also recovered, including live rounds of various calibres and magazines. Additionally, equipment and protective gear, including helmets, jackets, and radio wireless sets, were seized.
The recovery of this cache is a significant achievement for the security forces, and the operation demonstrates their commitment to maintaining law and order in the region.
