Manipur: TNL Condemns Brutal Killings in Jiribam, Calls for Humanity

Imphal: The Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) has strongly condemned the recent spate of violence in Jiribam, Manipur, which has resulted in the tragic loss of innocent lives, including women and children.

In a press release issued today, the TNL expressed deep anguish over the senseless killings, stating, “The brutality displayed in these attacks is a stark reminder of the depths to which humanity can sink. While conflicts may arise, resorting to violence against innocent civilians is utterly unacceptable.”

The organization acknowledged the complexities of the ongoing conflict but emphasized that no justification can be found for the indiscriminate targeting of civilians. “The killing of women and children is a heinous crime that cannot be condoned. Such acts erode the very fabric of our society,” the statement read.

The TNL called upon all parties involved to prioritize human life and to seek peaceful solutions to their differences. “Even in the midst of conflict, it is imperative to uphold the values of compassion and empathy. We urge all concerned to work towards a lasting peace that respects the dignity of every individual,” the organization concluded.
