Manipur: Two CRPF Personnel Martyred in Suspected Militant Attack in Naransena Region

Guwahati, 27th April: In a tragic incident, two brave personnel from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) lost their lives in a suspected militant attack in the Naransena area of Manipur. The incident, which commenced at midnight and persisted until 2:15 am, unfolded in the vicinity where CRPF’s 128 Battalion is stationed in the Bishnupur district.

According to police reports, armed groups launched an assault on a village in the Naransena region around 00:45 hours on April 27. The situation escalated when a bomb, discharged by the militants, found its mark and detonated within the confines of the B/128 Bn CRPF outpost at Narayansena.

Tragically, four personnel sustained injuries in the explosion: Insp/Gd Jadav Das, SI/GD N Sarkar, HC/GD Arup Saini, and CT/GD Aftab Hussain. Despite the best efforts of medical responders, SI/GD N Sarkar and HC/GD Arup Saini succumbed to their injuries, marking a grievous loss for their comrades and the nation as a whole.
