According to reliable sources, the assault by the armed miscreants provoked a response from the village volunteers, leading to a clash. The confrontation resulted in one volunteer being injured in the altercation.
The injured individual has been identified as Ningthoujam Jamesh Singh, a 24-year-old resident of Heirok part II Maning Leikai. Singh has been admitted to Raj Medicity for medical treatment following the incident.
