Manipur’s COVID-19 Battle Shows Positive Trend, Active Cases Dip to 41

Imphal– Manipur is demonstrating promising progress in its ongoing fight against COVID-19, with the state’s active case count now standing at a mere 41. This encouraging development comes as recoveries continue to significantly outpace new infections, as per the latest report from the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP).

A total of 263 individuals have successfully recovered and been discharged from care, reflecting a robust recovery rate. While two new positive cases were detected from 23 samples tested today, indicating a daily positivity rate of 8.7%, the overall trend remains favourable. The cumulative number of COVID-19 cases reported in the state since June 1, 2025, now stands at 304.

Imphal West district continues to register the highest number of cases, followed by Imphal East and Bishnupur districts. A majority of the current active cases are under home isolation, indicating mild symptoms or stable conditions. Notably, the state has not reported any COVID-19-related fatalities thus far, a testament to the efforts in managing the pandemic.
