Guwahati: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia asserted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was planning to assassinate Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday and said he will file a complaint with the Election Commission. The Delhi Deputy Chief Minister also demanded that BJP’s Manoj Tiwari be arrested for his “threat” against the AAP national convenor.
“Kejriwal has received threats from Manoj Tiwari, which proves that the BJP is planning to assassinate him. The way Manoj Tiwari ji talked yesterday, it was an obvious threat that after making numerous unsuccessful attempts to catch Kejriwal, they have finally reached the point of killing him. Manoj Tiwari claims that the Delhi chief minister can be assaulted by anyone, but how does he know this? This needs to be looked into, thus I’ll submit a FIR and a complaint with the Election Commission “Sisodia said addressing a press conference today.
Meanwhile, in response to Sisodia’s claims, Tiwari claimed that he had just “expressed his concern” for the safety of the Delhi Chief Minister during a press conference in the nations capital today.
“I’ve merely mentioned that Kejriwal’s safety worries me. I’m concerned about the situation since one of the party’s workers has died and his MLAs are being beaten. The Delhi Deputy CM claimed yesterday that the BJP was “conspiring to assassinate” Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal through MP Manoj Tiwari and his “goons” because they were afraid of losing the next elections.
“Due to the fear of defeat in Gujarat and MCD elections, BJP is planning to kill Arvind Kejriwal with their MP Manoj Tiwari openly asking his goons to attack Arvind ji. The AAP is not afraid of their petty politics, the public will answer for their hooliganism,” Sisodia tweeted in Hindi.
Sisodia’s tweets came after those of BJP MP Tiwari on the same day, in which he expressed concern for the Delhi CM due to resentment among AAP party members over election tickets and corruption charges.
Meanwhile, Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor also questioned how Sisodia developed a worry about Arvind Kejriwal being assassinated just before every election.
Praveen Shankar Kapoor continued, “Manish Sisodia ji, how much farther will you reduce the level of politics, your people are calling you a thief, a case of suspected suicide has also come to light, and now this tweet of yours looks to be your internal poll. In addition to Gujarat and Himachal, AAP is also losing in Delhi.
In a shocking incident, Aam Aadmi Party’s trade wing secretary, Sandeep Bhardwaj, was found dead at his Rajouri Garden residence on Thursday.
Notably, according to the Raj Niwas sources, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena took note of the tweets and statements made by Aam Aadmi Party leaders, including those made by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia who claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party was plotting to assassinate Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
The sources claimed that the LG has taken note of Tweets and statements made by AAP leaders, including Dy CM Manish Sisodia, and has instructed the Police Commissioner to take all necessary precautions to prevent such a planned incident from occurring.
