Manish Sisodia: “BJP Offered Me Delhi CM Post If…”

Guwahati: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia claimed on Monday that the BJP had promised him the position of chief minister of Delhi in exchange for leaving the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and joining them.

In response, Sisodia stated that his goal is to “provide the best education” to students all throughout the nation rather than to become the CM.

Sisodia claimed that he received a message from the BJP asking him to join them in splitting the AAP in exchange for their closing the investigations into him while they were still ongoing. The BJP, which is in power at the federal level, and the AAP, which is in power in Delhi, have been engaged in a fiery verbal battle for some time.

“I received an SMS saying CBI, ED cases would be taken back if you leave the party and break it while departing,” claimed Sisodia, who was on a two-day visit to Gujarat. They also assured me of the CM position. I’m not here to become CM; rather, I’m here to provide children with the best education possible.

The AAP leader responded, “The ones who transmitted the message indicated that they had made Suvendu Adhikari in West Bengal, Himanta Biswa Sarma in Assam, and Narayan Rane,” when questioned about the BJP representative who phoned him. Maintain your faith in us, he urged.

Earlier today, Sisodia took to Twitter to affirm his stance with the AAP, and said that he will prefer dying to bowing down to the “corrupt”.

“My reply to the BJP is – I am a descendant of Maharana Pratap, a Rajput. I will cut off my head but will not bow down to the corrupt and those who conspire. All the cases against me are false. Do what you want to do,” Sisodia tweeted.

Sisodia assured a free and effective education system if elected to power and encouraged Gujaratians to offer AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal a chance to run for governor.

“I want to tell every family in Gujarat to start dreaming about putting in place a strong educational system right away. Please give Gujarat’s Arvind Kejriwal a chance. It is a given that Gujarat will have a free and high-quality education system following the election of the AAP to power in the state,” he said.

The AAP leader also pledged to bring public schools into par with private ones.

“The schools’ teacher shortage will be addressed right away. We won’t permit unfair fee increases at private schools,” he said.

Kejriwal is on a two-day visit to Gujarat from today. Kejriwal is accompanied by Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who is facing a CBI probe in connection with the AAP government’s previous excise policy.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted raids at various locations earlier this week in connection with the suspected corruption in the execution of Delhi’s Excise Policy, including Sisodia’s house.

While the AAP government in Delhi has been accused of engaging in corruption by the BJP, the party led by Arvind Kejriwal has asserted that the investigations into Sisodia were the consequence of political animus.
