Assam: Martyred CRPF Jawan’s Mortal Remains Arrive in Guwahati; Tributes Paid by Assam Police and BTC CEM
Guwahati, 1st February: The mortal remains of CRPF Constable Lambadhar Singha, hailing from Chirang, Assam, who lost his life in the Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh, arrived in Guwahati. The jawan’s body reached Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport from Chennai airport. Assam Police and Pramod Boro, the CEM of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), paid their respects and laid wreaths on Singha’s mortal remains.
Expressing condolences on social media platform ‘X’, Pramod Boro honored the CRPF Commando, stating, “With a heavy heart, laid a wreath to honour the mortal remains of CRPF Commando Lombodor Singh, who gave the supreme sacrifice while battling Naxals in Chhattisgarh.” Boro extended support to Singha’s bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace for the valiant son of Assam.
The remains of Lambadhar Singha are slated to be transported to his native place in Chirang for the final rites. The recent Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh resulted in the loss of three CRPF personnel, including Singha, and left 14 others critically injured. The other two deceased constables are identified as Deven C and Pawan Kumar from CoBRA 201.
