Guwahati: One person has been arrested and huge quantities of Cannabis seized from Karbi Anglong district of Assam on Friday.
Following a tip off about the illegal drug smuggling, the police officials launched an operation at Khakrajan under Barpathar police station of the district.
According to reports, a truck was intercepted at a naka checkpoint in Bokajan.
On checking the truck, as many as 46 packets of cannabis has been recovered.
Moreover, the drugs were illegally transported from Dimapur when it was intercepted by police officials.
It may be mentioned that the accused is currently being interrogated by the police officials and further investigation into the matter is underway.
