Guwahati: As many as two persons were killed and 60 others were injured when a massive fire broke out at a Durga Puja pandal in UP on Sunday.
According to the police, aarti was being conducted at the pandal when the fire started at 9 o’clock in Bhadohi, UP.
The fire may have started as a result of a short circuit.
The 60 injured were taken right away to the hospital for medical attention.
At the time of the incident, the pandal included about 150 individuals, according to District Magistrate Gaurang Rathi.
He stated that an investigation has been started to look into the situation.
