Massive Fire Breaks Out at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital in Punjab

Guwahati: A ,massive fire broke out at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital in Punjab’s Amritsar on Saturday afternoon. At least eight fire tenders rushed to the scene douse the fire.

As per the reports, there have been no casualties reported.

The evacuated patients were seen laying on mattresses on the ground outdoors in photos taken at the scene of the tragedy.

According to a Fire Officer named Lovepreet Singh the fire started in a transformer. “The fire has been put out. There have been no recorded injuries “he stated.

 

Meanwhile, reacting to the incident, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann tweeted, “The unfortunate incident of fire at Guru Nanak Hospital in Amritsar was reported. Firefighters are on high alert. No casualties were reported due to God’s grace. Minister Harbhajan Singh has reached the spot. I am constantly monitoring the relief work.”

It may be mentioned that following the incident Punjab minister Harbhajan Singh reached the spot and took stock of the matter. He further said that the situation will be investigated.
