Guwahati: A massive fire broke out in a well-liked market in Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya on Friday.
Although it is suspected that the fire broke out due to short circuit but the exact cause of the incident is still not known.
The fire broke out at the Laitumkhrah market in Shillong, Meghalaya.
A number of fire tenders arrived the spot as soon as possible and were able to douse the unusual fire.
It has been revealed that the fire is thought to have damaged properties worth lakhs of rupees.
Fortunately, there were no recorded casualties or injuries from the incident.
