Guwahati: At least two houses belonging to a man were reduced to ashes after a massive fire broke out in Kamrup District of Assam during the early hours of Saturday.
The massive fire broke out at Pas Gumi village in Goroimari town of the district.
As per reports, the fire the massive flames engulfed at least two houses belonging to a man named Mahuruddin.
Reportedly, the massive fire was caused when a battery exploded in a government solar power plant.
Worth Rs 5 lakh of properties were burnt into ashes in the incident destroying all the belongings, necessary documents and cash inside the house.
It may be mentioned that the fire was brought under control after hours of effort by the locals.
