Meghalaya Announces Squad for 2nd NECDC Senior Women Tournament 2025 in Sikkim
Shillong: The Meghalaya Cricket Association (MCA) has announced a 15-member squad, along with five standbys, to represent the state in the upcoming 2nd NECDC Senior Women Tournament 2025.
The tournament will be held in Rangpo, Sikkim, from April 7 to 9, as confirmed by MCA Honorary Secretary Rayonald Kharkamni.
Debasmita Dutta will captain the team, with Riticia Nongbet serving as vice-captain. The tournament, organized by the North East Cricket Development Council (NECDC), will bring together top women cricketers from the northeastern states. The first edition was held last year in Nongkhrah, Ri-Bhoi, where Sikkim and Nagaland were declared joint winners after the final was disrupted by a tropical storm.
The selected Meghalaya squad includes a mix of experienced players and promising talents. The support staff will be led by coach Mackie D Blah, with Bhakupar Mylliemngap as assistant coach. Other members include physio Wandashisha Dkhar, trainer Darishesha Mawroh, and manager Baiahunlang Mylliemngap.
