Meghalaya: Anti-Narcotics Task Force Nabs Drug Peddlers in West Khasi Hills

Northeast Desk, 12th July: In a successful nighttime operation conducted by the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), two individuals from Nongstoin were apprehended for their alleged involvement in drug peddling activities in the region.

The arrests were announced by the West Khasi Hills Police via their official Twitter account. The operation led to the seizure of 9 grams of heroin from the suspects.

Law enforcement officials are proceeding with legal actions against the apprehended individuals under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. This legislation is crucial in India for addressing various drug-related offences, encompassing the possession, sale, and distribution of illicit substances.
