Meghalaya Chief Minister Launches ‘CM CONNECT’ to Enhance Public Service Delivery
Northeast Desk, 15th February: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma unveiled ‘CM CONNECT’, a new public service delivery mechanism aimed at making governance more accessible to citizens. This initiative is designed to enhance the efficiency, accountability, and accessibility of the government machinery, ensuring smoother interactions between officials and the public.
As part of ‘CM CONNECT’, Sangma also introduced a dedicated helpline number, ‘1971’, providing citizens with a platform to voice their complaints and seek redressal for their issues promptly.
Additionally, the Meghalaya Cabinet, earlier in the day, approved a proposal to extend the allowances recommended by the Second National Judicial Pay Commission (SNJPC). This decision aligns with the directive of the Supreme Court, ensuring that the benefits provided to Judicial Magistrates and Judicial Officers in the state are in line with national standards, thereby upholding parity and fairness.
