Northeast Desk, 21st September: A shocking incident occurred in Mairang, West Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya, where a class 12 girl student sustained serious injuries in an attack by unidentified miscreants.
The attack took place while the girl was returning from school. She was reportedly assaulted with a stone and threatened by the attackers.
Her classmates came to her rescue and found her in a pool of blood with severe facial injuries. The injured girl is currently receiving treatment at Shillong Civil Hospital.
Authorities have initiated an investigation to identify and apprehend the culprits responsible for the attack.
