Meghalaya CM Congratulates Team India for SAFF U-17 Championship Victory

Northeast Desk, 1st October: India triumphed over Bangladesh with a 2-0 victory in the final match of the SAFF U-17 Championship held on September 30, 2024, at the *Changlimithang Stadium. Following the win, *Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma praised the state’s footballers for their contributions to the national team.

Taking to the microblogging site X, CM Sangma expressed his pride in seeing players from Meghalaya representing India. He stated, “Congratulations to Team India for winning the SAFF U-17 Championship 2024 in Bhutan! It fills us with so much pride to see our boys of Meghalaya in the team. Kudos to the cricketers and their coaches!”

In addition to the championship win, Md Arbash was honored as the *Player of the Tournament, while *Aheibam Suraj Singh earned the title of Goalkeeper of the Tournament.
