Meghalaya CM Lauds Innovative Farming Trio at Sawaiom Fresh

Shillong: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma today made a stop at the Sawaiom Fresh Farm in Mawryngkneng, visibly impressed by the cutting-edge fusion of aquaponics, hydroponics, and aeroponics on display. The farm, a pioneering endeavour spearheaded by local entrepreneurs Rudy Kharmawphlang and Rawnsley Syiem, showcased a remarkable blend of technology and agricultural ingenuity.

The Chief Minister, swift to share his appreciation, posted on his official X handle, “Impressed to see the technology used at Sawaiom Fresh Farm in Mawryngkneng area, a aquaponics, hydroponics and aeroponics farm started by local entrepreneurs, Rudy Kharmawphlang and Rawnsley Syiem.” His visit underscored a clear intent to back and empower these enterprising individuals, while simultaneously inspiring other young minds in the state to embrace similar ventures.
