Meghalaya Forest Officer Dr. C. Manjunathan Passes Away at 45
Northeast Desk, 11th October: Indian Forest Service officer, Dr. C. Manjunathan, passed away on October 10 due to a heart attack. He was 45 years old at the time of his demise.
Dr. Lari Marbaniang reported that Dr. Manjunathan was rushed to Woodland Hospital around 6:15 pm, but medical professionals determined that he had already passed away, likely before reaching the hospital.
Dr. Manjunathan had held the position of Secretary in the Animal and Husbandry Department within the Government of Meghalaya.
Close family members disclosed that when Dr. Manjunathan returned home from work, he was feeling unwell. They provided him with some medication, but his condition deteriorated, prompting them to rush him to Woodland Hospital.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma expressed his sorrow in an official social media post, saying, ” We are pained by the untimely passing of one of our officers, Shri C. Manjunathan, IFS. Manju was a quiet and efficient officer with exemplary commitment to every Department he handled and took on every task with a smile. I extend my deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. May he rest in peace.”
