Shillong, Meghalaya: Renowned international marathoner from Meghalaya, Binningstar Lyngkhoi, has extended his support to the Viksit Bharat Challenge, a significant initiative aimed at empowering Indian youth.
The challenge, a precursor to the National Youth Festival 2025, offers a platform for young individuals to showcase their skills, knowledge, and innovative ideas.
Lyngkhoi, a beacon of inspiration for many, highlighted the importance of seizing opportunities. “Every challenge is a stepping stone to growth,” he said. “The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue is a golden chance to shine, connect with like-minded peers, and contribute to India’s future.”
The Viksit Bharat Challenge, announced by Union Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, will culminate in the National Youth Festival 2025, scheduled for January 11-12, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, Delhi. The festival will witness the participation of over 3,000 young leaders who will have the opportunity to interact with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The challenge is set to kick off with an all-India digital quiz competition from November 25 to December 5, 2024, on the Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) platform. Young individuals aged 15-29 can participate in the quiz, which will test their knowledge of India’s achievements and milestones. Successful participants will progress through subsequent rounds, including essay/blog writing, state-level presentations, and a national championship.
The National Youth Festival 2025 aims to bring together a diverse group of young individuals, including participants from the Viksit Bharat Challenge, talent from district and state-level youth festivals, and youth icons from various fields.
Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya has set an ambitious target of one crore youth participants, emphasizing the festival’s role in nurturing young talent and fostering a sense of civic engagement. The minister expressed his belief that the festival will provide a platform for young Indians to share their vision for India’s future directly with the Prime Minister.
