Meghalaya govt to raise ILP issue with Amit Shah

Guwahati: The state administration of Meghalaya will meet with Union Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss the implementation of the inner line permit (ILP) in the state.

This was informed by Meghalaya deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong.

Tynsong said that the Meghalaya administration would discuss the problem of ILP implementation during its next meeting with Amit Shah.

Prestone Tynsong stated, “We would highlight all remaining concerns (including ILP) in the meeting with union home minister Amit Shah.”

However, the deputy chief minister of Meghalaya stated that the meeting with Amit Shah has yet to be scheduled.

He stated that Amit Shah, the union home minister, will set a date for the meeting, at which “all pending problems” relating to Meghalaya would be handled.
