Guwahati: At least five houses were gutted down in a massive fire that broke out in the Mawbah area of Meghalaya’s East Khasi Hills district on Tuesday evening
The incident occurred at around 7 o’clock in the evening.
As per reports, numerous cylinders exploded as a result of the blazing inferno.
However, two kids have been reported missing after the huge fire erupted.
Reportedly, the fire is suspected to have erupted due to a short circuit.
Meanwhile, the police officers and fire tenders arrived at the scene to put out the blazing fire.
UDP candidate Paul Lyngdoh and local MLA Mohendro Rapsang both visited the spot.
