Meghalaya: North Garo Hills Police Cracks Scooty Theft Case, Two Vehicles Recovered

Resubelpara, July 20, 2025: In a significant breakthrough, the North Garo Hills District Police have successfully recovered two stolen scooties, bringing a swift resolution to a recent theft case. The recovery operation was the culmination of diligent investigative work and prompt follow-up action by the local law enforcement.

The breakthrough came after the accused, identified as 20-year-old Palsrang R. Marak alias Chusrang, a resident of Tengasot, Goalpara district, provided crucial leads during his interrogation. Acting swiftly on the information obtained, police officials were able to trace and retrieve the stolen vehicles, much to the relief of their rightful owners.

The case has been formally registered under Resubelpara Police Station Case No. 13/2025. Following the recovery, the accused has been arrested and subsequently presented before the Hon’ble Court for further legal proceedings, where he will face charges related to the theft.

Officials from the North Garo Hills Police lauded the coordinated efforts of their investigative team, highlighting their unwavering commitment to upholding justice and maintaining peace and order across the district. A senior police official, speaking on the successful operation, affirmed, “We will continue our relentless efforts to curb theft and ensure that stolen property is returned to its rightful owners.
