Meghalaya: NPP Withdraws from Arunachal Lok Sabha Race, Assures Support to NDA Candidates

Northeast Desk, 17th March: The National People’s Party (NPP) has announced its decision to withdraw from contesting two Lok Sabha seats in Arunachal Pradesh.

As a constituent of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), the NPP National Committee has resolved to extend its support to the NDA candidates in the state. The State Committee has been directed to align with the NDA’s electoral objectives and endorse its candidates.

In response, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma commended the unwavering commitment displayed by the Meghalaya Chief Minister. Expressing his gratitude, CM Sarma underscored the significance of such steadfast partnership within the NDA, asserting confidence in securing over 400 seats under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. CM Sarma conveyed his appreciation to Shri Conrad Sangma for his dedication and support.
