Meghalaya Police Crack Down on Honeymoon Murder Case
Shillong: The Meghalaya police have made significant breakthroughs in the murder case of Raja Raghuvanshi, a honeymooner from Indore. According to Director General of Police (DGP) Idashisha Nongrang, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) arrested three individuals in connection with the murder.
The accused, comprising one person from Uttar Pradesh and two from Madhya Pradesh, were apprehended in Indore early on June 9. During interrogation, they revealed that Raja’s wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi, had allegedly hired them to commit the crime. The police are now looking into the matter further, with a fourth suspect still at large.
Interestingly, Sonam Raghuvanshi surrendered to the authorities after being missing for approximately two weeks. Her role in the murder plot came to light after the arrested individuals confessed to their involvement.
The Meghalaya police are continuing their investigation, working to uncover all aspects of the case. With the accused revealing more information, the police are likely to make further arrests and piece together the events surrounding Raja’s murder.
