Meghalaya Police Suspends Physical Efficiency Test Amidst Irregularities

Shillong: The Meghalaya Police Central Recruitment Board has taken the decision to temporarily halt the ongoing physical efficiency test (PET) due to irregularities detected in the testing process at two battalions.

The irregularities were identified during the PET conducted between November 18th and 21st at the 1st MLP BN Mawiong Shillong and 4th MLP BN Sohpian.

“The Central Recruitment Board is committed to maintaining the highest standards of transparency and fairness in the recruitment process,” said Inspector General of Police Dalton P Marak, who heads the board.

The suspension of the PET will be effective from November 22nd onwards. The board will announce new test dates in due course, ensuring that all candidates have an equal opportunity to participate.
