Meghalaya: Residents of Wageasi Condemn Gruesome Murders, Demand Justice
Northeast Desk, 22nd April: In a poignant demonstration of unity and condemnation, residents of Wageasi in North Garo Hills assembled in large numbers on Monday morning to denounce the brutal murder of three youths in Rongmil, under the jurisdiction of Rongjeng Police Station in East Garo Hills.
The victims, originating from the neighboring Goalpara district in Assam, tragically fell victim to unidentified assailants on April 16. Their bodies, callously disposed of and partially buried, were discovered by authorities on April 17, sending shockwaves throughout the region.
As investigations continue, authorities are vigorously pursuing leads to apprehend the perpetrators and uncover the motives behind this heinous crime.
