Meghalaya: Sandeep Sharma Secures Bronze at Kettlebell World Championships
Northeast Desk, 10th June: Sandeep Sharma from Meghalaya, India, has clinched a bronze medal in the 80 kg weight category at the prestigious Kettlebell World Championships held in Rzeszów, Poland. The event, which ran from June 6 to June 9, saw Sharma excel in the Snatch event, earning a place on the podium.
Ukraine took the top spot in the event, followed by Israel in the second position. Sharma, a distinguished Kettlebell athlete and certified instructor, has consistently showcased his exceptional talent, bringing pride to both Meghalaya and India on the global stage.
Previously, Sharma made headlines by winning a gold medal at the WKSF Kettlebell Asia Championships in Mumbai in December 2023. During that event, he set a record with an impressive 94 repetitions in the 10-minute 24kg Snatch event, highlighting his remarkable endurance and skill.
Sharma’s unwavering dedication and commitment to the sport have been pivotal to his success, continuing to push boundaries and inspire aspiring athletes in Meghalaya and across the nation.
