Meghalaya: Sitting Tura MP & NPP candidate Agatha K. Sangma Cast Her Vote, Encourage High Voter Turnout in Tura
Northeast Desk, 19th April: Sitting Tura MP and NPP candidate Agatha K. Sangma arrived at Walbakgre polling station at 7:30 am to cast her vote. She expressed gratitude for the significant voter turnout compared to previous elections and encouraged people to exercise their franchise.
Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma also queued up at the same polling station at 6:30 am, expressing surprise at the early turnout and urging citizens to fulfill their democratic duties.
The first phase of the 18th Lok Sabha election commenced in 102 constituencies across India at 7 am and will continue until 4 pm. Conrad Sangma emphasized the importance of voting, calling on people to participate in the democratic process.
