Meghalaya Students to Participate in PM Modi’s ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025’

Shillong: Meghalaya is set to participate in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming eighth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha, scheduled for January 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

The initiative offers students an opportunity to address examination anxiety through a direct and interactive dialogue with the Prime Minister.

State Project Director Swapnil Tembe emphasized the importance of Meghalaya’s involvement, describing the event as “a valuable opportunity for our state’s schools to actively engage in this national initiative.”

The northeastern state has a strong history of participation, with students from Shillong, including Langsongding Khuptong from St. Edmund’s School and Owen Kharsawain from Shullai Progressive School, representing the state in the 2023 edition.

The State Education Mission Authority of Meghalaya announced that students from classes 6 to 12, along with their parents and teachers, are invited to participate through an online competition.

Running from December 14, 2024, to January 14, 2025, the selection process is being conducted by NCERT via the platform innovateindia1.mygov.in. Participants are required to answer multiple-choice questions and submit questions for the Prime Minister, showcasing their creativity and concerns.

The town hall-style event, to be held at Bharat Mandapam, will provide a platform for students from across India, including Meghalaya, to openly discuss academic challenges and strategies to overcome examination stress. By fostering a national dialogue, Pariksha Pe Charcha continues to inspire and support young learners, promoting a healthy approach to academic pressures.
