Meghalaya: Tragic Death of Chief Conservator of Forest N Luikham
Northeast Desk, 13th March: Meghalaya’s Chief Conservator of Forest, N Luikham, tragically passed away at his residence in the East Khasi Hills district on Wednesday, according to a police officer. The 50-year-old India Forest Service (IFS) officer was found hanging from the ceiling of one of the rooms at his official residence by his family members.
Upon discovering him, his family rushed him to the Shillong Civil Hospital, where medical professionals pronounced him deceased. Following this, a police team initiated an investigation at his residence to gather further details surrounding the incident.
The sudden and unexpected demise of N Luikham has left the community in shock, and the circumstances leading to his death are currently under investigation. As more information becomes available, this remains a developing story.
