Meghalaya: Unidentified Individuals Set Fire to Vehicles at Police Reserve in Jowai

Northeast Desk, 30th April: In an alarming incident, two vehicles parked at the Police Reserve in Salini Colony, Jowai, were deliberately set on fire by unidentified individuals in the early hours of Tuesday morning, around 2:00 or 2:30 AM.

According to sources, one of the vehicles targeted in the attack was a Maruti Gypsy belonging to a police personnel, while the other vehicle was a police bus. The private vehicle sustained complete destruction, while the police bus, bearing registration number ML-02-1873, suffered front-end damage.

Although the police department has not issued an official statement regarding the incident, it is believed to be the result of a petrol bomb attack, as per initial assessments.

Authorities have wasted no time in initiating an investigation into the matter and have registered a case to apprehend those responsible for the deliberate act of arson. Further updates are awaited as the investigation progresses.
