Meghalaya: West Garo Hills Student Secures Admission at IIT-Bombay with Top JEE Score

Northeast Desk, 20th July: Jonathan M. Sangma from Forest Tilla, Tura in the West Garo Hills district has achieved a remarkable feat by securing admission to the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. Sangma, who scored an impressive 99.07% in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2024 (B Planning), has earned a place at the prestigious institute to pursue Aerospace studies.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma praised Jonathan’s achievement, stating on Facebook, “Heartiest congratulations to Jonathan M. Sangma of Forest Tilla, Tura, for securing admission in IIT-Bombay for Aerospace. His All India Rank 1 in JEE (Main) 2024 (B Planning) with a score of 99.07% is commendable. May his success inspire other students from Meghalaya. Best wishes to him and his proud parents.”

Former Cabinet Minister James K. Sangma also extended his congratulations, writing on X, “Jonathan M. Sangma from Forest Tilla, Tura, has secured an All India Rank 1 in JEE (Main) 2024 (B Planning) and will be joining IIT-Bombay for Aerospace studies. Warmest congratulations on this outstanding achievement.”
