Mexico to import over 8 lakh Coronavirus vaccine from India
The Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has said that it would import 8,70,000 doses of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine from India in February. Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador have tested positive for coronavirus recently on Sunday.
However Mexico will also receive doses of Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine and Pfizer’s vaccine next month. Mexico has reported the third-highest COVID-19 death toll with over 1.5 lakh deaths. The President in a broadcast said “We are also getting AstraZeneca vaccines, apart from the agreement we have with them – these vaccines are being made here in Mexico – we will bring AstraZeneca from India.”
