Mild Earthquake Jolts Arunachal Pradesh

Itanagar: A mild earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale struck Arunachal Pradesh early on May 18. According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres in the Dibang Valley district.

The NCS reported the earthquake’s details as follows: magnitude 3.8, time 05:06:33 IST, latitude 29.03 N, longitude 95.78 E, and depth 10 km. The earthquake’s epicentre was located in the Dibang Valley region.

This recent tremor follows another earthquake that hit the adjacent area on May 17, measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale. The earlier earthquake had a depth of 12 kilometres, with an epicentre at latitude 28.78 N and longitude 95.70 E.
