Milind Deora Joins Shiv Sena After Departing Congress
National Desk, 14th January: In a significant political move, former Union Minister Milind Deora joined the Shiv Sena on Sunday under the leadership of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Deora’s induction into the Shiv Sena was marked by Shinde presenting him with a saffron flag.
Earlier in the day, Deora officially resigned from the Congress, declaring the end of his family’s 55-year association with the party. “I have tendered my resignation from the primary membership of Congress, concluding my family’s 55-year relationship with the party,” Deora announced on X (formerly Twitter). Speaking to reporters later, he expressed, “I am walking on the path of development.”
Describing his resignation as the “conclusion of a significant chapter” in his political journey, Milind Deora emphasized his commitment to a new trajectory.
