Guwahati: Milk prices have been increased by Rs 4 per litre as of Monday in Guwahati of Assam.

This decision has been taken by the Greater Guwahati Dairy Farmers’ Association.

As a result, the cost of candy and other products containing milk will also increase.

Milk’s wholesale price has increased from Rs. 53.40 to Rs. 57.40 per litre. The milk now costs Rs 60 per litre after a simultaneous increase in the retail price from Rs 56 to Rs 60.

Over 500 individuals work in the milk industry in Guwahati, which sells a total of 1 lakh 60 litres of milk every day.

It should be noted that the cost of sweets and other milk products may also rise as a result of the increase in milk costs.
