Guwahati: The Ministry of Culture of the Government of India will sponsor a mime workshop at Gauhati University (GU) from August 29 to September 4, 2022, organised by the Sangeet Natak Akademi North East Centre Guwahati, the regional centre of the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi.
The Gauhati University PGSU and the Platinum Jubilee Celebration Committee will collaborate to organise the seven-day workshop. As the primary resource person, Kuldeep Patgiri, who was awarded the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Award by SNA, will lead the session. Moinul Hoque, a renowned mime artist and recipient of a SNA award, will also serve as a guest instructor during the event.
The event will take place at Gauhati University’s Students’ Day Home and run from 3 PM to 7 PM. On September 5, there will be a closing reception where the participants’ presentations will be scheduled.
