Guwahati: A 9-year-old minor girl has been killed in a road accident in Morigaon district of Assam on Tuesday.
The incident took place in the Mayong area of the district.
The deceased identified as Amita Biswas who is a resident of Diprang village.
According to reports, the minor girl was hit by a speeding tractor while she was playing near a brickyard on the side of the road.
Meanwhile Mayong police reached the site and sent the body for post-mortem reports to Marigaon Civil Hospital.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
